Because they are made from an elastomeric material they are quite accomodating for wider feet.

Once there is a demonstrated demand for these sizes I will have them made. Right now, we only carry sizes UK Men's 8-12. Please complete our survey (link above) for alternative sizes so we can make decisions on other sizes for our next round of production. Thanks!

On looking at your website, I immediately had some queries, and would suggest that others might ask the same things....

I would like to see some close up photos of the shoes. The photo on the site is not very clear and is not close up.

A description of what the soles are made of, and; are they glued on or stitched?

Available in black only, or brown as well?

When compared with leather ghillies, would you describe the new shopes as lightweight, medium or heavyweight?

I am working with the web designer to get enhanced images. This should be accomplished relatively soon.

The soles are integrated with the upper . . . no stitching, no glue . . . the shoe is made from a single injection mould. They are made of EVA, a synthetic, elastomeric, lightweight, durable, and odor resistant material.

Only available in black and much lighter than the traditional ghillie brogue . . . under 11 ounces for for UK Men's Size 11.

I'm not sure that I'd like Ghillie brogues that were lightweight and out of manmade material. I like a heavy pair of shoes, especially when wearing the kilt.

I have never heard that before!!!!

You little people have no idea what it is like to live in the world of normal sized people. Almost nothing can be purchased off the shelf. (more weeping and whining). I found one pair from Higgins that I think were made as a window display or something and were shuffled to a back room storage area. I happened to call at the right time and they were mine. Now they are wearing a bit thin and time to kill a couple cows for new ones. (Yeah I heard that one too

). I am bit leary of a converse chuck taylor ghillie though

Hello All, just tried me Gillators for the first time and have to tell you...If you ever get the "cramped legs syndrome" or "sore feet" from competing all day feel, these are the shoes for you!. I was a little skeptical at first because of the "croc" shoe style, but they look like the real deal but feel like air on your feet!. If you're sick of walking on shoes that feel like concrete, these are for you.
I have no affiliation with Gillators...just a satisfied customer who won't dread walking parades or games from now on.
