Triumph enthusiasts, sale!!!!!!!!!!

Post  JTBirl on Wed 30 Apr 2008, 10:48 am

Posting for a friend...email me if you'd like to see pics

If you know anyone who collects or restores old cars, please let them know about this. It's my late father-in-law's. Needs some minor cosmetics, but he restored most of it himself and I've driven it. As much as she hates the thought, Christy's mom wants to sell it to someone who'll take care of it before it sits in the garage for too long and starts to need work. Thanks.

so would I, as long as it hadn't been 'detuned' for the American market.....and had the steering wheel on the "proper side"...... Very Happy

Big Triumph fan, had two Spitfires (1300 and 1500), two Dolomites (1854 and Sprint), a Mk2 2000, a Vitesse.....and I used to be really envious of a mate who had an original Stag in awesome condition !!!

Used to also drive a mate's GT6 regularly whenever he was out of town.

But never had a TR.....would love a TR6, TR250 or TR4A.

In recent years I've only seen two Triumph's on the road here, one a TR6 which has been painted with a huge Union Flag over the bonnet and added to do with loots of "faux 6-s" kit.....and it looks like something out of "The Spy Who Shagged Me"....the other a Triumph Stag which has had the seats leathered, the fake wood replaced with genuine walnut, light tinted glass added and a 4 litre Jag engine replacing the original 3 litre.

I gave the owner my name and number.....should he ever want to sell it......but he said, he'd sell his wife before he ever sold the car.
