Hey Veteran Piper, not making out too well. None sold as of yet. Sign of the times, I guess. Had a few inquiries but nothing solid. Brian

I'm thinking your prices look fair enough, perhaps there's a glut of pipes on the market?

Maybe it's a good job you're not stuck with a high priced set of pipes?

Hello Pub, just an update on the pipe sale.
Dunfions found a good home in Canada
Naills found the hands of a grade I piper in our band (just bumped up from grade II)
Hardies with the Butterscotch mounts sold on ebay for a measley $670.00. What a deal he got!.
Still have the 40's Lawries and a set of 80's Hardies. I may have to lower the prices a bit to find them good homes. Thanks all!. Brian

That "face" is just so strange looking...where did you ever come up with that ??

Just curious.

This I'll bet is a really good bagpipe. A Naill played by Norman. I don't think he would settle for crap. Plus I think Naills are some very good pipes. $1,600 is a good deal for a set like that.

Glad you sold most of them in such a bad market. Lots of used pipes for sale it seems.

Brian :

Given the economy, this thread makes me wonder how badly pipemakers are being effected by things ??

Surely they're not immune to the world's problems...

Is anyone in touch with folks in the trade to know how far they are back-ordered ??

I'm just curious.

Good question paul, I think the majority of sales have always been from new young students, so the ecomony doesn't effect them as much as some working adults.
